Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your computer using USB cable and then launch iTunes if you have a Mac running macOS Mojave 10.14 or a PC. And launch Finder if you have a Mac running macOS Catalina 10.15 or newer. You can keep your iPhone on or off as it doesn’t affect the process.

Step 2: After this, press and hold the Wake or Sleep button and Home button (iPhone 6s and below) or the Volume Down button (iPhone 7) simultaneously for 8 seconds.

Step 3: Now leave the Wake or Sleep button but keep holding the Home button (on iPhone 6s and below) or Volume Down button (on iPhone 7) unless your iPhone displays in iTunes or Finder.

Step 4: Next, leave the Home key or Volume Down key. If you successfully entered DFU mode then your iPhone’s screen will be completely black. If the phone’s screen doesn’t goes black then you need to repeat the same steps from starting.

Step 5: Then restore your iPhone via Finder or iTunes.

Steps To Put iPhone 8, X, 11, 12, Or Latest Model In DFU Mode And DFU Restore It

Step 1: Quickly press and leave the Volume Up button, repeat the same with Volume Down button.

Step 2: After this, press and hold the Side button unless the iPhone’s screen turns black.

Step 3: Now, press and hold the Volume Down key while keep holding the Side button.

Step 4: After 5 seconds, leave the Side key but keep holding the Volume Down key unless your iPhone appears in Finder or iTunes.
